Software piracy is
illegal. Software companies and
developers are affected by the loss in profits. It’s pitiful but jobs are lost when companies
cannot sustain the business.
Software piracy occurs in
three forms – unlicensed use, counterfeit sales and hard disk uploading.
Such illegal downloading
of software without the publisher’s consent is equivalent to stealing. It is estimated that for every legitimate
$100 in software sales, $75 worth of software was pirated. This is daylight robbery and should be
stopped!
