Subjective/Objective Paragraphs

News or reported events can be subjective when they include words that elicit emotions and opinions.  Reporting based on facts will make them more objective.

Read the article below and decide whether the paragraphs are subjective or objective.  Underline the words/phrases that elicit emotions, making the paragraphs subjective.

Subjective/Objective

Software piracy is illegal.  Software companies and developers are affected by the loss in profits.  It’s pitiful but jobs are lost when companies cannot sustain the business.

Software piracy occurs in three forms – unlicensed use, counterfeit sales and hard disk uploading.

Such illegal downloading of software without the publisher’s consent is equivalent to stealing.  It is estimated that for every legitimate $100 in software sales, $75 worth of software was pirated.  This is daylight robbery and should be stopped!
